THE ALGARVE

Located on the southern tip of Portugal, with two Atlantic coasts and an ideal climate, the Algarve is a perfect holiday location.

Inside the 16th century walls of Lagos (lah-goosh) is an old cobble-street fishing town of interesting sites, but outside the walls is a modern town with fabulous beaches.

Albufeira, the largest resort town along the coast offers stunning beaches and relaxing days in its Old Town. But for vibrant night life, immerse yourself  in the  New Town with its acknowledged reputation for unabandoned hedonism.

Tavira is a charming fishing port with castle ruins to explore and cobble stone streets ending in town squares.  Only 3 km from the coast, it is an excellent spot from which to access the sand-dune island by the same name.

Olhão is another picturesque fishing town with easy access to the local islands. With the largest fish market in the Algarve, you can be assured of the freshest and highest quality seafood.  From its many white, square buildings with flat rooftop terraces,  a multitude of interesting views await you.
